"Beachy" Paper Pumpkin

Hello Friends,

It has been a busy week with family birthdays & graduations but I managed to sneak in some crafting time with the arrival of my June Paper Pumpkin kit. This one is called A Little Smile & although the cards are small it packs a BIG punch.

The kit is loaded with great die cuts of palm trees & coral & the stamp set is a keeper. Here are the wee cards made according to the suggested instructions. They come with a cute storage envelope - great to carry in your purse & give out as random smiles!

For our Paper Pumpkin Club, I create alternative cards adding some cardstock & ink to the kit. Here I created some full sized A2 cards adding the card fronts provided to an embossed background.

Using the stamps included in the kit I created a stamped background & framed another of the card fronts.

These paper Pumpkin kits are a great way to collect card making supplies. All those subscribing through my online store get free classes! If you are local you'll gather with the other P.P. Peeps to assemble, create & laugh - a lot! If you are an online customer from out of town, you'll receive a tutorial with instructions for alternative cards to help expand your kit. Hit the Shop tab & check out the Paper Pumpkin subscriptions available.

June Paper Crew Blog Hop – Good Morning Magnolia

One of my fave bundles from the new 2019-20 Stampin' Up! catty is the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle. I just cannot seem to leave it alone! I decided to use this design in the new Paper Crew Blog Hop for June.

Ahoy Friends & welcome aboard the Paper Crew June Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who have come together online to create cards, scrapbook pages & other paper craft projects. We hope that these samples inspire you to create fun projects using the amazing Stampin' Up! products from the newly released 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue.

My choice is the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle.

This image is spectacular! Here I stamped it onto Whisper White thick cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then coloured the image using Blends markers. The curved bottom is created using a die from the set, layered onto the striped DSP from the Magnolia suite of products.

I just love the combination of Petal Pink on the Basic Black card base. Adds a touch of class don't you think?

Hop along with us & check out the next blog.

My New Blog Home

Hello Friends,

I am starting off the new Stampin' Up! catalogue season with a new home for my blog. I hope you'll stop by & keep track of the goings-on at Uptown Stamping.

I was so impressed with the May Paper Pumpkin kit, Hugs from Shelli, that I used up every bit of it. I just loved the card bases provided so decided to create my own with what I had on hand.

For this card I used the Dictionary background stamp (retired) stamping using Sahara Sand ink, stamped off, on Very Vanilla cardstock. I then added some "splotches" using the stamp set that came with the kit using Pretty Peacock ink. The result was a vintage looking background - perfect for the images from the new "Sailing Home " stamp set. I'm thrilled with the collection of backgrounds that I created! Have a go at it with whatever stamp sets you have on hand. Keep the ink colours subtle & neutral, add a few ink splotches for interest & you're good to go. Be sure to share your creations so we can all admire them.

Thanks for stopping by,

Arlene
