Starry Summer Nights

Once the summer started here in Ontario we have had warm starry nights - with even an unusual comet to look at! This month's Paper Pumpkin kit - Summer Nights - helped celebrate summer in a big way. Being able to get outside & socialize (from a distance) with family members in our "bubble" has given us all a lift.

The kit comes with little bags suitable for treats or tea lights. The cut-out on the front of the bag lets the light shine through adding some sparkle to your summer soiree. Since I needed cards, I cut up the bags using the front portion mounted on a Blackberry Bliss mat to send a celebratory greeting. The CELEBRATE sentiment is from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit. With the grand collection of stamps from our monthly kits the P.P. Peeps & I are never lost for words!

This next card uses another bag, trimmed & mounted onto a square of Balmy Blue Glimmer paper to create a fun flower. Thanks to Rachael Tessman for the inspiration for this card.

How cute are these lantern die-cuts from the kit, mounted on a postcard then popped onto a white mat with a Blackberry Bliss card base. The inside is decorated with more lanterns stamped using one of the stamps from the kit & the Blackberry Bliss ink spot.

I just couldn't stop creating with this kit. I love the rich colours & the retro look of the die-cuts. The fireflies & sealing jars brought back memories of summer nights in the country marveling at these phenomenal bugs! The stamp set included produces great sparklers & fireworks as well as delightful fireflies & sentiments. Here's a parade of more cards using the materials from this fun kit.

These monthly kits have provided me & my paper Pumpkin group with a tremendous source of fun! Each month we get together (virtually now) to laugh, create & get caught up.

Be sure to check in around the end of each month to see what we've created from our Paper Pumpkin kits. Full disclosure: we rarely follow the instructions.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers,
Arlene

All Dressed Up!

Looking to get all dolled up? Not happening during a pandemic? Then lets pretend. This fun stamp set Dressed to Impress will let you have some dress-up fun without changing out of your yoga pants! This set along with matching dies has been carried over to the current Annual Catalogue - and I couldn't be happier. It has the coolest greetings so suitable for a sister or bestie along with cute shoes & girlie accessories. The dies even cut out a purse or backpack - how fun is that?

For the card above I used up some fun lipstick coloured foil as well as the tail end of the DSP that originally came with the suite. The next card takes pink to the max with a big pink bow to finish things off.

The pink background is stamped with a cute little flower stamp from the set.

This last one is a CASE (copy & share everything) designed by Tammy Wilson. Tammy is a member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team - one of the awesome groups that help to inspire & motivate us all. That just happens to be a big reason that I joined Stampin' Up as a Demonstrator. I love the support & inspiration that comes with all the products. There's a whole lot of sharing & learning that goes on behind the scenes at Stampin' Up! But I digress....

This next card shows off some fancy footwear decorated with coloured sequins parading across a subtle water colour wash background. The sentiment says it all - especially in these uncertain times!

If you missed out on this fun stamp set in the last catty be sure to snap it up this time. It's a great time to purchse as July is Bonus Days month. For every $60 spent before shipping & taxes, you will receive a digital coupon for $6 off in August. So you could purchase the dies, cardstock & some ribbon in July then get the stamp in August with your coupons. Who doesn't love a bargain??

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your Bonus Days & remember if you want 20% off everything every day contact me about joining my team.

Cheers,
Arlene

Peony Garden Suite

The Peony Garden Suite is a beautifully coordinated collection of products all based on the "Distinktive" images of the Prized Peony stamp set & matching Peony Dies. These detailed images create a photographic look where the inked image shows shadows & exquisite detail. The imagery is suitable for colouring but is also stunning just stamped with ink. The matching dies include separate dies that when layered create a 3D flower - perfect for cards or packaging.

Here I die-cut the 4 pieces for the flower from Whisper White cardstock, sponging some Petal Pink ink onto the edges before assembling. The "greenery" is die cut using shades of green cardstock & the Forever Flourishing Dies.

The background mat has added texture from the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. The simple message is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.

These next images are simply stamped in Basic Gray & Petal Pink inks with backgrounds from the Peony Garden DSP. I love that the ribbon & embellishments all coordinate beautifully - it makes the entire suite so versatile.

Perhaps it's a memory of the peonies in the garden at our last house or the time of year (peony blooming time!) or maybe just grateful enjoyment of gardens after all this isolation but this suite of products just spoke to me.

Be sure to check it out in my online store & enjoy more gorgeous samples on pages 82-83 of the Annual Catalogue.

Be sure to check out the peonies blooming in the gardens here in Ontario too!

Perfect Plaid Birthday

Here's a fun card using the Plaid Builder Dies from the new Annual Catalogue. There are 2 dies included in this set, one cuts out the Navy background design, the other cuts the Crumb Cake overlay. Together they "build" a cool plaid design for this card.

I then used the Playful Alphabet Dies to cut the letters but before I did I adhered the Crumb Cake cardstock to a Foam Adhesive sheet. My die cutting machine cut through all the layers to create these fun puffy letters! A final bow of linen thread gives an understated embellishment to this card - perfect for a teen/tween boy/girl.

This next card uses the same dies but with a bold boisterous sentiment from the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set.

The red/white/blue colour scheme made for a fun card for my American friends celebrating the 4th of July. The stars were cut from the Stitched Stars Dies from Real Red cardstock. The great sentiment just seems to shout out a happy wish for a happy day. Once again this makes for a great teen card & with 8 teen grandkids I'm always on the lookout for suitable sentiments!

The new catty has some stunning new suites of products so I am gradually working my way through as my orders arrive.

Stay tuned for more samples plus cards made with "carrying over" favourites combined with new papers & embellishments. If you need a copy of the catalogue contact me & I'll see that you get one. If you have a copy, take a look through & make a wish list that we can work toward. I am happy to answer any questions or show you how to use the products.

If you or your friends would like a virtual demonstration let me know & we'll set up a Zoom party. Until we can meet again safely that's the best way to party - & you can still wear those yoga pants!

Thanks for stopping by.
