Silhouette Scenes

Today I have chosen one of my fave stamp sets to showcase. I absolutely love the silhouette images in the Serene Silhouette stamp set! They conjure up dreamy vignettes and the sentiments are thoughtful & suitable for so many occasions.  Here I CASEed the card below from page 132 of the Annual Catalogue thinking it a perfect Bon Voyage wish for friends. To CASE means to "copy & selectively edit" taking inspiration from another's design or colour scheme. Here I added some shimmer & shine using silver foil cardstock to highlight the moon & the tree branch.         

The silhouette images are stamped on a  square of Shimmery White cardstock washed with a watercolour brush of Highland Heather and Seaside Spray ink using my AquaPainter. The Designer Series paper from the See A Silhouette DSP makes a dramatic night sky background so all that was needed for my young voyageurs was a full moon to guide them. I used the Subtle Embossing Folder to add interesting texture to the Silver Foil moon. The elegant tree branch is die cut from Silver Foil using the Sweet Silhouette dies that are included in this stunning suite of coordinating products. A few rhinestone gems represent stars in the sky & provide a touch of bling to an otherwise simple design.
